Plants can be grouped based on where they live.
Example 1: Water plants, like water lilies and lotus flowers, float on the water's surface and their roots are underwater.
Example 2: Forest plants, like oak trees and ferns, grow on land and get water from the soil.
Example 3: Desert plants, like cacti and succulents, can survive with very little water and have thick leaves to store water.
Fun Fact: Some plants are so special that they can live in both water and land! They are called amphibious plants.
