Ranking Criteria for Unicus Critical Thinking Olympiad (UCTO)

The Unicus Critical Thinking Olympiad (UCTO) is an international online reasoning exam for students of Classes 2 to 11. Held every summer, it tests core thinking skills rather than any one school subject: pattern recognition, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, series completion, coding-decoding, directions and analytical puzzles. The MCQ paper has two sections: a Classic Section on logical reasoning and a Scholar Section on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in reasoning. As UCTO starts from Class 2, every participant is ranked on the criteria below, with a tie on marks broken first by the time taken to finish the paper and then by date of birth.

Ranking Criteria for Unicus Critical Thinking Olympiad (UCTO) for Grades 2 to 11 is as follows:

• keyboard_arrow_rightIn case of a tie, the student completing the test in lesser time will be ranked higher.
• keyboard_arrow_rightIn case of a tie again, the younger student based on Date of Birth will be ranked higher.
• keyboard_arrow_rightSince Unicus Olympiads will be held on different days and sessions with different sets of question papers, final ranks will be
  announced based on normalization of the ranks for each session.
• keyboard_arrow_rightIn case two or more students score same marks under the criteria above, they will be awarded the same rank.
• keyboard_arrow_rightIn case of any confusion, decision of the Academic Council will be final & binding.
