Why do we need air to live?
- We need air to breathe. It gives us oxygen, which our bodies use to stay healthy.
- Oxygen helps our hearts pump and our muscles work, so we can play and have fun!
- Plants also need air to make their food and give us more oxygen to breathe.
Examples:
- When we blow up a balloon, we fill it with air, which shows how important air is for many things!
- If we go swimming and our heads go underwater, we can't breathe because there is no air, which is why we need to come up for air!
- When we watch trees sway in the wind, it's the air moving around them, and they use that air to grow.
Fun Fact: Air is all around us, and we can't see it, but it is super important for all living things!
