Which Lines Do Not Meet Each Other?
- Lines that do not meet are called parallel lines.
- They go in the same direction, but they stay the same distance apart.
- No matter how long you draw them, they will never touch!
Examples:
- Railway Tracks:
- The tracks on a train stay the same distance apart.
- They go straight and never cross each other.
- Rulers:
- If you place two rulers side by side, they do not touch.
- They keep a space between them all the way down.
- Road Lines:
- The lines on a road for cars, like the lane markers, are sometimes parallel.
- They guide cars, but they do not meet!
