What is the Sun?
- The Sun is a big ball of hot gas in the sky.
- It gives us light and heat, which are very important for life on Earth.
- Without the Sun, the Earth would be cold and dark.
- The Sun is much bigger than the Earth and is found at the center of our solar system.
Examples:
- When you feel warm on a sunny day, that's the Sun's heat making you comfortable.
- Plants need sunlight to grow. They use the Sun's light to make food through a process called photosynthesis.
- At night, when the Sun goes down, it gets dark, and that's why we need lights to see.
Fun Fact: The Sun is so big that about 1.3 million Earths could fit inside it!
