What is the difference between weather and seasons?

Weather is what happens in the atmosphere on a daily basis, like sunshine, rain, or snow. Seasons are the longer parts of the year that bring different types of weather. There are four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

Example: Today, it might be sunny and warm (that's the weather), but right now, it's summer (that's the season).

Fun Fact: Different places have different seasons. For example, when it's summer in the northern part of the world, it's winter in the southern part!
