What is Air?

• Air is the invisible mixture of gases that surrounds us.
• We breathe air to help our bodies work and stay healthy.
• Air is everywhere, and we can't see it, but we can feel it when it moves as wind.
• Air also contains oxygen, which is important for animals and people to breathe.

Examples:

• When you blow up a balloon, you fill it with air.
• When you run fast and feel the breeze on your face, that is moving air.
• Plants use air to make their food using a process called photosynthesis.

Fun Fact: Even though we can't see air, we know it's there because we can feel it, and animals and plants need it to live!
