What is a Vertex?
- A vertex is a special point where two or more lines meet.
- It's like the corner of a shape, where the edges come together.
- When you draw a triangle, the corners of the triangle are the vertices!
Examples:
- Corner of a table:
- The corners of your table are vertices because they are where the edges meet.
- Points in a star:
- If you draw a star, the points where the lines meet are called vertices.
- Shapes in a drawing:
- In a square, the four corners are vertices-two lines each come together at those corners!
