What is a Numeral?
- A numeral is a symbol or group of symbols that represent a number.
- We use numerals to show how many of something there is.
- For example, the numeral "5" means there are five things.
Examples:
- Counting apples:
- If you have three apples, you can write this as the numeral "3."
- So, "3" shows you have three apples!
- Writing the number of stars:
- If you see seven stars in the sky, you can write it as "7."
- This numeral helps us know there are seven stars!
- Number of crayons:
- If you have 10 crayons, you can write this as the numeral "10."
