What does the short hand show?
- Short hand is the shorter way to show time on a clock.
- The short hand is the small hand that shows the hour.
- When the short hand points at a number, it tells us what hour it is.
Examples:
- Breakfast time:
- If the short hand points to 7, it could be time for breakfast!
- 7 o'clock means the sun is coming up, and it's a great time to eat.
- School time:
- If the short hand is on 8, school starts at 8 o'clock!
- This means it's time to grab your backpack and head to class.
- Bedtime:
- If the short hand points to 9, it might be time for bed!
- 9 o'clock means you can read a story or go to sleep.
