What does AM and PM mean?
- AM and PM help us understand time during the day.
- AM means "Ante Meridiem," which is Latin for "before midday" or "before noon."
- PM means "Post Meridiem," which means "after midday" or "after noon."
- This way, we know if it's morning or afternoon when we tell the time.
Examples:
- Breakfast time:
- If you wake up at 8 AM, it's morning time, and you might have breakfast.
- So, 8 AM is a good time to eat breakfast!
- Watching a movie:
- If your movie starts at 3 PM, it's in the afternoon.
- So, you can have lunch before going to the movie!
- Bedtime:
- If it's 9 PM, it's time to get ready for bed.
- 9 PM is night time, which means it's time to sleep!
