What does 3D mean?

  • 3D stands for "three-dimensional."
  • This means that something has height, width, and depth.
  • When we look at things in 3D, we can see them from different sides, just like in real life.
Examples:
  • Big boxes:
    • A big cube is 3D because it has a top, a bottom, and four sides!
    • You can walk around it and see all the sides.

  • Food items:
    • A pizza is 3D because it is round and has a top and bottom crust.
    • You can slice it and see how thick it is!

  • Toys:
    • Your toy car is 3D because it has a body, wheels, and can move around.
    • You can hold it and see it from all angles.
