What is an Increasing Pattern?
- An increasing pattern is when numbers or things get bigger or grow each time.
- They follow a rule that makes them get larger by adding the same amount each time.
- It's like climbing a stairway; each step is higher than the last one.
Examples:
- Counting days:
- If we start counting days from today, each new day is ahead:
- "Today is Day 1, tomorrow is Day 2, then Day 3!"
- Adding apples:
- If you have 1 apple today, and you get 1 more apple each day:
- "1 apple, 2 apples, 3 apples, 4 apples!"
- Counting stars:
- If you see 5 stars one night, and then 6 stars the next night:
- "5 stars, 6 stars, 7 stars..." as more stars appear!
