What are Two Digit Numbers?

  • Two-digit numbers are numbers that have two places, like a 'tens' place and a 'ones' place.
  • They start from 10 and go all the way to 99.
  • In these numbers, the first digit tells us how many tens there are, and the second digit tells us how many ones there are.
Examples:
  • Counting apples:
    • If you have 24 apples, that means 2 groups of ten apples and 4 extra apples.

  • Buying candies:
    • If you buy 56 candies, it means 5 groups of ten candies and 6 extra candies.

  • Playing a game:
    • If you score 38 points in a game, it means you scored 3 groups of ten points and 8 extra points.
