What are the four basic math operations?
- Math operations are ways to work with numbers.
- There are four basic operations: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division.
- Each operation helps us solve different types of math problems.
Examples:
- Addition:
- If you have 2 apples and you get 3 more apples, you now have 5 apples.
- 2 + 3 = 5.
- Subtraction:
- If you have 5 cookies and you eat 2, you have 3 cookies left.
- 5 - 2 = 3.
- Multiplication:
- If you have 4 bags with 3 toys in each bag, you have 12 toys in total.
- 4 x 3 = 12.
- Division:
- If you have 12 candies and you want to share them with 3 friends, each friend gets 4 candies.
- 12 3 = 4.
