What are 2D Shapes?
- 2D shapes are flat shapes that have two dimensions: length and width.
- They do not have thickness and can be seen on paper or screens.
- Common 2D shapes include circles, squares, rectangles, and triangles.
Examples:
- Drawing a square:
- A square has four equal sides and looks like a box.
- When you draw a square, you can create a window shape!
- Making circles:
- A circle has no corners and is round like a pizza.
- You can draw circles when you make wheels or balloons!
- Shapes in nature:
- A leaf can be a shape with pointy edges, like a triangle.
- The sun is often drawn as a circle with rays coming out!
