How many ml is in a litre?

  • A litre is a way to measure liquid.
  • There are 1,000 millilitres (ml) in 1 litre.
  • This means if you have 1 litre of water, it's the same as having 1,000 ml of water.
Examples:
  • Water Bottle:
    • If your water bottle is 1 litre, it can hold 1,000 ml of water.
    • So, when you fill it, you are filling it with 1,000 ml!

  • Juice Carton:
    • If you buy a carton of juice that is 1 litre, guess what?
    • That's also 1,000 ml of yummy juice to drink!
