How does a weighing balance work?
- A weighing balance is a tool that helps us find out how heavy something is.
- It has two sides to measure weight equally.
- When we put something on one side, the balance will tip if it's heavier.
- To find the weight of things, we add weights to the other side until they balance.
Examples:
- Measuring fruits:
- If you put an apple on one side, you can add weights until the balance is level.
- This helps you know how heavy the apple is!
- Checking books:
- If you have a few books, you can put them on one side of the balance.
- Add weights to the other side to find out how heavy the books are.
- Measuring ingredients:
- When you bake, you can use a balance to measure flour or sugar.
- Put the flour on one side and add weights on the other to get the right amount!
