How do we write numbers in words?
- Writing numbers in words means to take a number and say it as a word.
- For example, the number "1" becomes "one."
- We do this for all the numbers we can see!
Examples:
- Counting apples:
- If you have 3 apples, you write it as "three apples."
- Each number has its own word!
- Money:
- If you have 10 dollars, you can say it like this: "ten dollars."
- This helps us understand how much we have!
- Birthday candles:
- If you are turning 5 years old, you can write: "five years old."
- This shows how many candles you need on your cake!
