How do we communicate using a telephone?
- A telephone lets us talk to people who are far away.
- We use our voice to speak and listen to others' voices.
- To make a call, we pick up the phone, dial a number, and wait for the person to answer.
- Telephones can be mobile, which means we can carry them anywhere!
Examples:
- When you call your grandma, you speak to her even if she lives in another town.
- If your friend is playing at their house but you want to play together, you can call them to ask!
- Sometimes, people use a phone to call a doctor if they have a question about feeling sick.
Fun Fact: The first telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876, and it helped people talk to each other from far away for the first time!
