What are Intersecting Lines?
- Intersecting lines are lines that cross each other.
- When two lines meet, they form a special point called the intersection point.
- This means they are not parallel and will touch at some place.
Examples:
- Roads crossing:
- Imagine two roads that cross each other.
- Where they meet is the point where they intersect.
- Letters crossing:
- Think of the letter "X." It has two lines that cross in the middle.
- The point where they cross is also an intersection.
- Swinging swings:
- When you have swings on a playground that cross paths, that's another example.
- The path they share is where they intersect!
