What are Computation Operations?
- Computation operations are ways to work with numbers and find out answers.
- They include things like adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
- These operations help us solve problems with numbers every day!
Examples:
- Adding apples:
- If you have 3 apples and your friend gives you 2 more, you add them together.
- So, 3 + 2 = 5 apples!
- Subtracting cookies:
- If you have 10 cookies and eat 3, you find out how many are left.
- So, 10 - 3 = 7 cookies!
- Multiplying candies:
- If you have 4 bags of candies and each bag has 5 candies, you can multiply to find the total.
- So, 4 x 5 = 20 candies!
- Dividing toys:
- If you have 12 toys and want to share them equally with 3 friends, you divide.
- So, 12 3 = 4 toys each!
